Chapter Info

We’re the Nevada County, California Chapter of Project Linus, established in March, 2005.  Our Chapter distributes handmade Project Linus blankets to children in need of a Community hug within Nevada County.

What’s a Project Linus blanket?  A Project Linus blanket keeps an ill or traumatized child warm, cozy and feeling secure. The project is named after Linus, the cartoon character from “Peanuts” who always drags his security blanket with him.

Our Nevada County Chapter is a 100% volunteer Chapter and our volunteers, or Blanketeers as we call them, support our efforts through their donations of handmade blankets and quilts.

A group of Blanketeers meet the first Friday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to sew/knit/crochet blankets for our Nevada County Chapter.  This is a drop-in group, welcoming all who are interested:
