It was with good intentions that we started this blog…..hopefully, to spread the word on Project Linus and also share info and love with our dedicated volunteers.  Life gets in the way sometimes and we (meaning me!) can’t always do all the things we’d like to.  So, with my apologies for the long span between posts, we share the following:

My 13 yr. old son was hit by a car a year ago. We’ve been in & out of the hospital. After 3 major surgeries and a lot of pain he’s getting better.  Last week was his last operation. The nurse gave him a “Linus” blanket before going into surgery and he held onto it trying to be tough, but you could tell there was security there. He’s slept with it every night since coming home! Please thank those who give their time and hearts to this project. It gave my son comfort through a very difficult time. God bless!

I just wanted to take the time to send a thanks to Project Linus. In the past two years I’ve had 2 major surgeries at Shriner’s Hospital For Children. I was extremely nervous for both and during each my doctor went into the back and brought me a blanket made by Project Linus people.  It makes such a difference to have something that reminds you of home. It makes you less nervous and reminds you that there are people who really care. So, thanks Project Linus for everything you do!

My eight-year-old daughter is undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia
diagnosed this past January. It has been a long difficult 12 weeks. While
we were in the hospital a volunteer delivered one of your quilts to her.
What a wonderful surprise! She was all smiles! She was cold the whole time
we were there for her treatment and she was cuddled under her quilt from
the moment it was delivered. Thank you for making a difference in our lives
and especially for bring joy to my daughter’s day.
